ON TEST
TVD much less car-like and lacking the sheer smoothness of the Custom So after that rather lengthy introduction let’s see what our test model has to offer Outside
As can be seen from the pictures this is is one snazzy looking van complete with dashing lines a a a nice set of alloys and a a a a a a metallic paint job which turned out to be a a a a a a £650 option It sounds a lot of money but you could well recoup it when you come to sell the van as many second buyers want little goodies like this and are willing to pay extra for them On the the down side
this van doesn’t have any plastic rubbing strips to protect it so careless drivers will soon find they are landed with some very large repair bills You have been warned!
In the cab
The seats put driver and passengers in a a a a nice upright position so that they won’t suffer back twinges on on on on long journeys There’s a a a a good view of the road ahead too The dash has a a a a a large screen which controls all the infotainment gizmos but it didn’t include satnav or a a a a a reversing camera in in this particular model There’s a a a a a a a display which shows an an aerial drawing of the van and emits a a a a a bleep if it it gets near to stationary objects however so we we can’t complain too much The device also links up to the the driver’s smartphone so so apps on on the the phone can be controlled via the screen Meanwhile there is both a a a a a cigar lighter socket and a a a a a USB port on top of the dash to to save wires dangling all over the shop when plugging in in one’s own satnav unit 17 TVD lssue 52 2021
